What is it?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. A separate Invisalign aligner is made for each stage of your program, gently shaping your teeth into alignment. These aligners are custom made to Drs. Terry and John’s specifications using sophisticated, 3-D computer imaging technology.

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want and brush and floss without hassle. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

How does it work?

You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position Drs. Terry or John McDonald has prescribed. You'll visit us about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
